Soren's pricing hangs on one unit: the agent turn. Understand that unit and every plan explains itself.
An agent turn is one spoken command that reaches the reasoning model. “Run the tests and trash the old screenshots” is one turn — even though it fans out into several tool calls, an approval, and a spoken reply. The turn counts the sentence, not the steps it takes to fulfill it.
Just as important is what doesn't consume a turn. Push-to-talk capture and on-device speech-to-text do not consume an agent turn. Saying “stop,” answering an approval prompt, or cancelling a command before it reaches the model does not touch the meter. The meter runs only when your words go to the model for reasoning, because that's the only step that costs anyone anything.
The free plan includes 25 agent turns a month. That's not a trial that expires — it resets every calendar month, forever. Twenty-five turns is enough to wire Soren into a few real routines and find out whether talking to your Mac sticks for you, which is exactly what the free tier is for.
Plus, at $12 a month, removes the cap. It exists for the person whose morning starts with a saved skill and whose test suite runs by voice — daily use, where a counter would just be noise.

You bring your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key, it's stored in the macOS Keychain, and your reasoning requests go straight to your provider — you pay them for inference at their rates, and never pay us again.
